Officers arrived at [ADDRESS REDACTED] address and located a male victim, [NAME REDACTED], inside the home with a gunshot wound to his right forearm. R. V. Told officers "They shot me" as first aid was being provided to him. The victim was transported by ambulance to Regions Hospital for medical treatment. His wounds were found to be non-life threatening. Officers located numerous bullet holes to the south side of the home, including bullet holes that had entered 3 62-CR-26-2183 Filed in District Court State of Minnesota 4/1/2026 the bedroom where the victim [NAME REDACTED]. Officers located approximately sixty-one spent.223 caliber rifle cartridge casings and 9 mm casings near the driveway apron of [ADDRESS REDACTED], in the front yard of [ADDRESS REDACTED], the street, and on the sidewalk adjacent to the front yard. [ADDRESS REDACTED] is located on the northeast corner of Elfelt Street and Edmund Avenue.
Surveillance video shows a black pickup truck and an unknown sedan parked parallel to each other on Elfelt Street just south of the intersection with Edmund Avenue shortly before the shooting. The vehicles then drove off at 2303 hours. The pickup truck drove southbound on Elfelt Street, and the direction of travel for the sedan was unknown. On November 3, 2025, National Integrated Ballistic Information Network correlations were received regarding casings from [ADDRESS REDACTED]. Police reports regarding those correlations were obtained and reviewed.
Surveillance video from a correlated incident was obtained and reviewed (Maplewood Case number 25028314 and Saint Paul Police Department case number 25184777). Surveillance showed a black Dodge Ram matching the description on the Tobacco Shop and M Health Fairview surveillance. The vehicle was identified as a 2014 Black Dodge Ram 1500, Minnesota license plate number SYB849. The vehicle was registered to B. T. The boyfriend of B. T.
