A person on the property contacted the St. Cloud Police Department to report the discovery of what appeared to be a body. Officers responded to the scene and located the remains, but determined the site lay just outside city limits in Minden Township.
Officers from the Sherburne County Drug Task Force and the Benton County Sheriff’s Office were serving a narcotics search warrant when the man began shooting.

According to court records, 24-year-old Ismael Vasquez Santos was convicted of two counts of first-degree assault for shooting two men at properties along 95th Avenue Northeast in Gilmanton Township.
Ismael Vasquez Santos, 23, of Royalton, now faces two counts of first-degree assault and two counts of second-degree assault after allegedly gunning down two men northwest of Foley.
Deputies were dispatched to a residence on the 9900 block of 95th Avenue NE at around 4:45 p.m. after a report that two men had been shot and the suspect was nearby.
