Today we'll be talking about having a cesarean or a C-section. The first step would be either to schedule your C-section or if you've been pushing for a really long time and your provider doesn't think that you will be able to vaguely deliver this baby, they will schedule for a C-section. They're called emergency C-sections, which can be super scary, but they happen all of the time. When you're getting ready for a C-section, an IV will be placed as well as a blood pressure cuff, pulse ox, which measures your oxygenation, and then also a belly band, which measures your baby's vitals.
