Authorities say the search was part of a larger narcotics investigation involving members and associates of the Family Mob gang.

The shooting happened inside an apartment building in the 100 block of East 18th Street, where officers were called on a report of a person shot.

The fire was reported around 10:46 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, 2025, in the 3200 block of Penn Avenue North, where officers were responding to a ShotSpotter activation as firefighters were simultaneously dispatched.

Sharon Anne Venable, 60, of Minneapolis, is charged with second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon after investigators say she stabbed a woman in the eye during an argument.

Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara said a 23-year-old man and a 14-year-old boy were killed after a suspect entered the residence shortly after being released from the Hennepin County Jail.

The fires forced evacuations, endangered worshippers and caused hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage, though no injuries were reported in either fire.
