On October 10, 2025, Edina Police Department officers were called to the scene of a recent burglary occurring at a dwelling on the 5000 block of Interlachen Bluff in the city of Edina, Hennepin County, Minnesota. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the homeowners, hereinafter Victims, who were not present in the home at the time of the burglary. Victims noted that when they arrived home in the evening on October 10th, they discovered the sliding glass door on the rear of the house was shattered and the front door was unlocked.
Victims recall locking all doors prior to leaving the home earlier the same day. During their review of various rooms within the home, Victims reported that several closets and drawers were left open and items were tossed about the area. Victims were also able to describe a number of valuable items that were missing from the home. Officers later learned from law enforcement officers in Wisconsin that they were investigating a similar style of burglaries in their jurisdiction. Within their investigation, Wisconsin law enforcement officers identified cell devices providing location data related to their investigation as well as the reported burglary of the home on Interlachen Bluff.
Edina officers obtained detailed device information and phone records to further investigate the devices' location on and around October 10, 2025. In review of cell tower data, officers confirmed that the noted devices were in the area of the Interlachen Bluff home during the time of the reported burglary. Further tracking of the devices led to the arrest of two individuals in Wisconsin, identified as ENJERBET ALEJANDRO ROJAS SILVA, [DOB redacted], hereinafter Defendant and LUCIANO ALEXIS SILVA CIFUENTES, [DOB redacted], hereinafter Co-Defendant 1. It is believed that the third individual involved in the burglary of the Interlachen Bluff home identified as ANDRES ISAAC MELITA ESPARAZA [DOB redacted], hereinafter Co-Defendant 2 is currently residing in Chile.
Upon arrest, the cellular devices in the possession of Defendant and Co-Defendant 1 were seized. A search warrant was subsequently obtained to review the contents of the devices. In review of said contents, officers obtained photographs of Defendant, Co-Defendant 1, and Co-Defendant 2 wearing and displaying several pieces of jewelry and large amounts of cash in addition to saved location points within Hennepin County. One of the saved locations saved to Co-Defendant 1's phone shows the 5000 block of Interlachen Bluff as a pinned map point.
Victims were presented with several photos from said devices and were able to positively identify a number of items that belonged to them and were taken during the burglary of their home on October 10, 2025. Victims do not know Defendant, Co-Defendant 1, or Co-Defendant 2 and never provided permission for them to enter their home and remove items therein. In a recorded post-Miranda statement, Defendant admitted to “robbing houses” in both Minnesota and Wisconsin. Defendant further stated that he and others often targeted homes with nearby wooded areas as it was easier to stay concealed and “rich people” usually had woods around their homes.
