On January 29, 2026, officers responded to a call for an individual who was sticker swapping at Walmart at [ADDRESS REDACTED] North, in the City of Brooklyn Park, County of Hennepin, State of Minnesota. Officers learned that an individual had been swapping stickers on items and underpaying for said items on multiple occasions. Officers were informed that loss prevention had made prior attempts to stop the individual and the individual did not comply with requests to stop. Officers located and stopped the individual, who was identified as Cory James Vititoe [DOB REDACTED]. Officers searched Vititoe incident to arrest and located a card with multiple barcodes on it.
These barcodes were subsequently identified as the ones used in Vititoe’s prior sticker swap transactions. Loss prevention provided officers with documentation from multiple prior incidents where Vititoe would select trading cards and then scan the trading cards for a lower price than correct price. Vititoe used a credit card in his own name to pay for the price-swapped items. Officers learned that Vititoe had underpaid the following amounts on the following dates: On January 7, 2026, Vititoe underpaid by $19.60. On January 9, 2026, Vititoe underpaid by $379.48. On January 10, 2026, Vititoe underpaid by $207.42. On January 11, 2026, Vititoe underpaid by $79.94. On January 12, 2026, Vititoe underpaid by $137.20. On January 16, 2026, Vititoe underpaid by $189.85. In total, between January 7, 2026, and January 16, 2026, Vititoe underpaid by a total of $1,013.49.
