On August 24, 2025, around 8:07 P.M., law enforcement was dispatched to a hotel on the 8900 block of Springbrook Drive NW, Coon Rapids, Anoka County, on a report of a possible ongoing assault after receiving an open 911 call. Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered a male, C. B, and a female, H. I., had been assaulted by their friend, Keemon Charles Lamont Moore [DOB REDACTED], defendant herein, who was staying with them in a room at the hotel. H. I. Reported that her marijuana had gone missing and she confronted defendant about it, which led to a verbal altercation.
The verbal altercation escalated, and defendant grabbed H. I.’s hair, punched the right side of her head multiple times, and pushed her into the wall. H. I. Stated she saw stars during the assault and had a bump on her head. C. B. Tried to intervene and defendant grabbed C. B.’s neck/throat, choking him to the point that C. B. Stated it was hard for him to breathe. H. I. Stated that C. B. Was unable to talk while this was occurring. Law enforcement observed scratches on C. B.’s neck. Defendant told law enforcement that he got into a verbal altercation with H. I. And C. B. And “probably acted too aggressively.” Defendant admitted to “pushing” C. B. And H. I. Defendant has at least two previous qualified domestic violence-related offense convictions in the last three years, which include: (1) a misdemeanor conviction for domestic assault – violate an order for protection in court file no. 58-CR- 22-714, conviction date of January 31, 2024; and (2) a misdemeanor conviction for domestic assault – violate an order for protection in court file no. 02-CR- 22-4918, conviction date of November 22, 2022.
