On December 18, 2025, Deputy Michael Gengler of the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office was conducting surveillance on [ADDRESS REDACTED] SE in the City of Stewartville, County of Olmsted. At approximately 12:35 P.M., Deputy Gengler observed Ranvek exit the residence with J. W. (an adult male fully identified in the incident report). Deputy Gengler observed J. K. (an adult male fully identified in the incident report) exit a grey 2017 Ford C-Max parked in the driveway. Deputy Gengler observed J. K. Exit the vehicle and move to the front-passenger seat of the vehicle.
Deputy Gengler observed Ranvek approach the vehicle and sit in the driver's seat. Deputy Gengler then observed J. W. Place a bag in the rear passenger seat and walk back into the home. Deputy Gengler proceeded to coordinate with other deputies from the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office to block the vehicle in the driveway. Deputy Gengler activated his emergency lights, positioned his vehicle behind the Ford C-Max and made contact with the driver of the vehicle who was confirmed to be Ashlee Ranvek.
Deputy Gengler informed Ranvek that she was under arrest based on an outstanding warrant. Ranvek was escorted from the driver's seat and asked deputies to grab her bag from the driver's seat. Deputies retrieved a bag from the driver's seat and Ranvek was searched incident to arrest. During the search, Deputy Gengler found a prescription bottle for Oxycodone in Ranvek's bag. The bottle contained two white circle pills and were prescribed to what was later determined to be a deceased individual from Mendota Heights, Minnesota.
One pill had markings of A and 349 which was determined by deputies to be consistent with Oxycodone, a Schedule II Controlled Substance. Inside the bag Deputy Gengler also found a hard plastic tube with residue inside. Ranvek was then transported to the Olmsted County Adult Detention Center (ADC). At the ADC, Ranvek provided a statement and claimed the bag was placed in the vehicle by someone else. A complaint warrant is requested, Ranvek is currently on probation in 55-CR-25- 2798; ••-CR-••-••••; ••-CR-••-••••; and ••-CR-••-•••• PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: YOU MUST APPEAR FOR EVERY COURT HEARING REGARDING THIS CASE.
