On December 2, 2025, officers of the Coon Rapids Police Department were dispatched to a residence on Redwood St NW in the city of Coon Rapids, Anoka County, Minnesota, for a report of a domestic assault. When officers arrived, they made contact with T. H., who told officers that she had met up with her ex- boyfriend Paris Devion Pointer, [DOB redacted], Defendant herein, to speak about their relationship. T. H. Indicated that she met with Defendant at her apartment but was speaking with him in the apartment complex hallway because she did not want to have the conversation in front of her children who were inside of the apartment.
T. H. Further stated that Defendant wanted to look through her phone, which she allowed him to do. While looking through T. H.’s phone, Defendant found messages from another male that made him upset. Defendant then struck T. H. In the forehead several times using T. H.’s phone before placing his hands around her neck and pinning her against the wall. T. H. Told officers that Defendant was choking her to the point where she had difficulty breathing. T. H. Attempted to get away from Defendant but he threw her to the ground several times before T. H. Was able to get back to her apartment where she had a phone to call 911 and Defendant left the apartment building.
Officers observed red marks on T. H.’s forehead and scratches and red marks on T. H.’s neck. Officers also spoke with a neighbor, who stated that she was woken up by her roommate and they could hear sounds of an argument. When she looked into the hallway, she could see a male push T. H. Officers were unable to locate Defendant and a warrant is requested so appropriate conditions of release, including a domestic abuse no contact order, can be set.
