On December 10, 2025, at 1804 hours, St. Paul police officers responded to 262 Birmingham, St. Paul, Ramsey County, on a report of a half-naked male destroying property. Officers spoke to the property manager, CH, [DOB REDACTED]. She stated that she encountered a male in the maintenance shop. He was wearing a green high visibility top. He was naked from the waist down. She told him to leave. He went over to the 250 building and damaged the door attempting to get inside. There was obvious damage to the door frame.
He then went to the 260 building and unsuccessfully attempted to get inside. He then went to the 262 building, broke the window on the door with his fist and crawled inside. Officers located the male sitting without pants inside the building by a heater. Officers arrested him and identified him as William Wesley Wright, [DOB REDACTED]. In a post-Miranda interview, he stated that he was working with a snow removal company. He told his partner, who was driving, that he needed to use the restroom. He then defecated in his pants.
His partner became upset and kicked him out of the truck. He needed to find a place to clean up. A female kicked him out of the building where he was attempting to get clean. He was trying to get clean and warm which is why he was breaking into the buildings. He acknowledged that a reasonable person would have called the police for assistance. He could not explain why he did not take that course. The estimate to repair the damage is $1750.
