On December 27, 2025, at approximately 5:42 P.M., Brooklyn Park Police were dispatched to a robbery at Nobles Sports Park in Brooklyn Park, Hennepin County, Minnesota. Police spoke with Adult Victim, [NAME REDACTED] was selling a watch to people through Facebook Marketplace. Adult Victim [NAME REDACTED], Juvenile Victim, drove to a parking lot at Nobles Sports Park to sell the watch. Adult Victim exited their vehicle while Juvenile Victim [NAME REDACTED]. The purported watch buyer texted Adult Victim to come toward a Chrysler sedan in the parking lot, which was next to a Toyota with Minnesota license plate [PLATE REDACTED]. Adult Victim [NAME REDACTED] was unoccupied, but the driver of the Toyota began speaking with Victim [NAME REDACTED]. The driver of the Toyota then exited and held a handgun to Adult Victim’s head, threatening to shoot Adult Victim [NAME REDACTED] didn’t hand over the watch.
Three other males exited the Toyota and tried to force Adult Victim [NAME REDACTED]. One of the three Toyota passengers also had a handgun. The robbers stole Adult Victim’s watch, car keys, shoes, and hoodie. The robbers then drove away in the Toyota, leaving behind the unoccupied Chrysler. The Toyota is registered to the father of ASA MACESTINE SEWARD CUMMINGS, Defendant herein. The abandoned Chrysler is registered to Co-Defendant KESHAWN EMMANUEL DIGGS. On December 31, 2025, police showed Adult Victim photo lineups of possible suspects.
Adult Victim positively identified Respondent as the driver of the Toyota, who had held a gun to Adult Victim’s head. Adult Victim also positively identified Co-Respondent M. K. As a backseat passenger in the Toyota who also had a handgun during the robbery. Police executed search warrants for cellphones belonging to Respondent, Co-Respondent M. K., and Co- Defendant Diggs. Cellphone location data revealed that Respondent, Co-Respondent M. K., and Co- Defendant Diggs. Were all in Nobles Sports Park at the time of the robbery.
On January 22, 2026, Brooklyn Park Police with a witness who explained that that Respondent and Co- Respondent M. K. Had been involved in the robbery. On January 22, 2026, in a recorded, Miranda-compliant interview, Respondent claimed he did not know Co-Respondent M. K. But cellphone call logs reveal that Respondent and Co-Respondent M. K. Are in contact with each other at the time of the robbery. Executed search warrants of the suspects’ cellphones revealed a text message conversation between Co- Respondent M. K. And Co-Defendant Diggs from December 27, 2025, prior to robbery.
In the text messages, Co-Respondent M. K. Asked Co-Defendant Diggs to help him “beat” Juvenile Victim. Co- Defendant Diggs asked how he could help, and Co-Respondent M. K. Explained that he set up a robbery and needed Co-Defendant Diggs to bring his car (the Chrysler). Co-Defendant Diggs replied that he would help Co-Respondent M. K.
