KD specifically reported that she and Anderson got into a verbal argument that turned physical when Anderson grabbed her around the neck with both hands. Anderson pushed KD to the ground and began stomping on her body and stepping on her head.
Anderson then grabbed a Playstation 5 and put it in a bag before leaving the residence. KD locked the front door after Anderson left the residence, but Anderson returned and kicked the door in. Shortly after Anderson exited the residence, KD heard the sound of a gun cocking back. KD went outside to the parking lot and was struck by Anderson in the face with a handgun causing a gash in her head. KD further stated that Anderson left the parking lot with another person in a black Chevy Impala. Later in the evening, Officers located the vehicle and performed a high risk traffic stop due to the allegations of an assault with a firearm.
Officers located Anderson in the passenger seat and placed him under arrest. The driver of the vehicle was briefly detained and released at the site of the stop. After Anderson was arrested, he requested that Officers retrieve his bag from the passenger seat of the vehicle. Inside of the backpack, Officers located a Playstation 5 consistent with KD’s report.
