On November 16, 2025, at approximately 1:10 A.M., Prior Lake Police Officers were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle at [ADDRESS REDACTED] NW, Prior Lake, Scott County, Minnesota. Dispatch advised the unoccupied vehicle had been at the location for four hours with its hood up. Officer Gillispie and Sergeant Lannon responded to the location and observed a 1999 white Toyota Camry, bearing MN license plate JFY386, parked on the side of the roadway with its hood up. A male, later fully identified as Jack Henry Nelson, [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter referred to as "Defendant," was standing outside of the passenger side of the vehicle.
The driver, M. Y. S. T., advised officers that her vehicle had broken down and she was waiting for her ride to arrive. Defendant advised he was waiting with the driver. Sergeant Lannon ran Defendant's name and date of birth while in his squad and discovered Defendant had an active warrant for a Felony Hennepin County Warrant for 1st Degree Aggravated Robbery. 27-CR- 25-25146. Sergeant Lannon approached Defendant and advised he was being placed under arrest for the warrant. While placing Defendant in handcuffs, Sergeant Lannon asked Defendant if he had anything on his person.
Defendant stated he had a firearm in his waistband. Sergeant Lannon located the firearm, which was in an appendix carry position without a holster. Defendant did not have a permit to carry on file. The firearm was a 9mm Glock replica with a tactical light affixed to the frame. The handgun did not have any visible serial numbers on the metal plate located on the frame, nor on the side. The frame bore a generalized part number for "Polymer 80 inc." Defendant was booked into the Scott County Jail for the outstanding Hennepin Co. Warrant.
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: Pursuant to Minn. Stat. 609.49, intentional failure to appear for duly scheduled court appearances may result in additional criminal charges, and in addition to any arrest warrant that may otherwise be issued by the Court.
