On February 8, 2026, around 7:06 A.M., law enforcement responded to the 1100 block of 104th Avenue NE, Blaine, Anoka County, on a report of a suspicious female in the area who attempted to open a vehicle door in the driveway of a residence. One of the reporting parties, A. A. And J. O, confronted the female suspect. The reporting parties stated the female was wearing a black face mask and all black clothing and stated the female fled from them once confronted and got into a gray vehicle, later identified as a silver 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander (MN/TAW931). The female suspect, who was later identified as Jacqueline O’Hara Pederson [DOB REDACTED], defendant herein, left behind two black latex gloves in the driveway.
The vehicle had been seen in the area multiple times after the incident. Law enforcement was able to locate the vehicle and initiate a traffic stop. Upon contact with the driver, who was Defendant, law enforcement noticed a knife on the passenger seat of the vehicle and asked defendant to step out of the vehicle. The license plate on the vehicle came back as stolen out of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, on January 29, 2026, with keys. The registered owner and party who reported the vehicle stolen is A. R. Defendant was arrested.
During a search incident to arrest of Defendant, law enforcement found a lock pick set and a small glass bubble pipe in her coat pocket. Law enforcement also found more black latex gloves and multiple different vehicle keys in the vehicle. Defendant was also wearing a black neck gaiter. In a post-Miranda statement, Defendant told law enforcement she was driving around the area because she had just moved there. Defendant provided an address to law enforcement and stated she lived with her mother. She also stated she borrowed the vehicle from a “friend,” whom she did not identify.
Defendant stated she used the lock-picking tools for “automotive” and admitted that it sounded “suspicious.” Defendant also admitted she approached a vehicle in the area and spoke with someone. She claimed she thought she previously owned the vehicle she approached and was checking to see if she could get into the vehicle. Law enforcement went to the address provided by Defendant and the resident of the address did not know Defendant and stated Defendant was not living there.
