Victim, an adult male fully identified in the reports, advised that several tools were stolen from inside his residence sometime between March 16, 2025, and March 22, 2025. Victim is the owner of the home and advised he is building the home, but no one resides there currently. He left the back sliding door unlocked for the plumber to gain entry to do some work. During the time frame, someone entered the residence and stole the tools. Deputy Pollich observed tire tracks in the damp gravel driveway that were suspected to belong to the individual who committed the burglary.
Victim provided a list of tools missing and their values, which exceeded $4,000. On March 26, 2025, Victim contacted law enforcement again because he observed some of his missing tools for sale on Facebook Marketplace. Sergeant Mork met with Witness 1, an adult male fully identified in the reports, regarding the tools. Witness 1 advised he purchased the tools from a man. Witness 1 showed Sergeant Mork where the exchange occurred, and turned over a photograph of the person who sold him the tools as well as his truck.
Sergeant Mork also obtained video surveillance from nearby businesses. This individual was identified by Sergeant Mork as Nathan Michael Molyneux, [DOB REDACTED]. The exchange of tools occurred on March 21, 2025, at 4:38 PM. On April 9, 2025, Deputy Antigua stopped the suspect truck for an unrelated offense. Molyneux was driving the vehicle. He was ultimately placed under arrest and his phone seized. Sergeant Turner took photographs of the vehicle’s tread, which were compared to the burglary site and appeared to be similar.
Also on April 9, 2025, Officers executed a search warrant at the residence Molyneux was known to reside at in Big Lake Township. They located tools reported missing from the burglary in the basement of the residence. Molyneux rents the basement. Molyneux’s cell phone number and provider were identified, and cell tower data obtained. The tower data shows Molyneux accessed a cell tower nearby the burglary site on March 20, 2025, at 6:49 PM and 7:29 PM, and again on March 21, 2025, at 1:34 AM. Molyneux was questioned by law enforcement regarding this offense and acknowledged exchanging tools for money and handbags.
He claimed at various times that he got the tools as a gift, he got the tools from another deal with a friend, and that he got the tools from his previous job working road construction. Law enforcement contacted his previous employer, who identified the tools would not be the same type of tools used for the construction work Molyneux did. Molyneux has had an active warrant on Wright County file 86‐CR‐25‐2350 since October 15, 2025. A warrant is sought to ensure his appearance in Court. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: Pursuant to Minn.
