On December 20, 2025, at 10:13 A.M., Carver County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of an alleged assault that took place at [ADDRESS REDACTED] in the City of Chanhassen, County of Carver. Following the assault, the victims fled to another home in Chanhassen. Deputies located the victims, Leanne Marie Engelking, mother of Conner Engelking, and Abigail Marie Anderson, girlfriend of Conner Engelking at the residence of refuge. Ms. Engelking stated that her son, hereafter the Defendant, had been drinking all night at [ADDRESS REDACTED]; he was out of control, destroying property, and he had cut her face with a shard of glass.
Deputies observed a small laceration, about one inch in length on Leanne’s right cheek with dried blood around it. Ms. Engelking explained that she had been asleep when she was awoken by the Defendant’s yelling, and that she could tell he was in a” blackout” state from intoxication. The Defendant was punching walls and breaking glass as he yelled at Abbie (Abigail). At one point, the Defendant Connor threw a chair in the kitchen at the stove and broke the glass on the door. The Defendant also smashed a mason jar on the floor.
Ms. Engelking went to her bedroom to call the police, but the Defendant followed her, holding a glass shard to her face, stating “I’m gonna cut you if you call the cops.” He then took her phone away before she could dial 911. She stated this is when he cut her with the shard of glass. The Defendant was also hitting her in the arm. Following this, Ms. Engelking said she grabbed her key fob, and she and Abigail fled the residence. Ms. Engelking was in her pajamas and neither woman was able to take their phones.
Both were shoeless. Both women told deputies several times that they were in fear of the Defendant. The Defendant turned himself into the Carver County Jail on December 22, 2025. The Defendant agreed to give a statement. He stated that he had a disagreement with his mother and that he threw a chair into the stove, causing it to break. The Defendant has two prior qualified domestic-violence adjudications within the past ten years, to wit: (1) Carver County District Court File ••-CR-••-•••• (adjudicated delinquent of Misdemeanor Assault in the 5th Degree on October 25, 2016); and (2) Carver County District Court File 10-JV-18-77 (adjudicated delinquent of Misdemeanor Assault in the 5th Degree on March 22, 2018).
