On 02/28/2026 at 16:27, Savage Police Officers dispatched to a domestic assault incident at ***** Louisiana Ave S, [APT REDACTED], Savage, Scott County, Minnesota. The reporting party, TRS, [DOB REDACTED], said her “kids dad is fighting her kid”. At the scene, the officer spoke with TRS, who stated, she and Daniel Joseph Sutcliffe-Isham, [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter the Defendant, have been in a past sexual relationship and share a child [NAME REDACTED]. Their relationship has been abusive for years.
She stated they had ended their relationship in January, and she has been in the process of moving out of their shared apartment located at ***** Louisiana Ave S [APT REDACTED]. She arrived at the unit to pick up the remainder of her items. She and the Defendant got into an argument about money and items. The Defendant using his right hand, grabbed her neck and choked her. She told the Defendant to keep his hands off her. Her son, SJG, [DOB REDACTED], walked into the room. The Defendant then choked her again.
SJG got physically involved to stop the Defendant. The Defendant push SJG into the bathroom. The two became physical and then SJG’s friend, IJL, [DOB REDACTED], joined to defend SJG. She stated she has been punched in the face, choked and is tired of the physical abuse. The officer saw she had tears streaming down her face. TRS stated the Defendant used his right hand and grabbed her throat and used force although it had not restricted her breathing. She stated he squeezed for approximately 5 to 10 seconds.
Paramedics came to the scene and examined TRS. A paramedic notified the officer of bruising on the back of TRS’s neck. The officer then spoke with TRS's daughter, II, [DOB REDACTED], who stated, she observed her brother, SJG, run into the room where TRS and the Defendant were yelling. IJL then followed. She then observed her mother walk out of the room and called the police. She observed IJL on the ground with the Defendant on top of him. She stated SJG was attempted to get the Defendant off of IJL. Officer spoke with SJG, who stated, he was the stepson of the Defendant.
He heard the argument and entered the room and observed the Defendant having one hand on TRS's neck, choking her. He went after the Defendant and started pushing him, which caused the Defendant to get mad and started pushing him back with a lot of force, causing him to go into the bathroom. IJL entered the room and saw him and the Defendant pushing one another. IJL began hitting the Defendant in the face with his hand. The Defendant then pushed IJL into the hallway causing him to fall down with the Defendant on top of him.
He returned to help IJL by getting behind the Defendant and choking him from the rear until things settled down and they all went to the living room. The Defendant continued to advance towards him while in the living room and spat on how which is how the blood splatter got onto his jacket. The Defendant was still inside the apartment and that he possessed multiple firearms, including an AR-style rifle and shotguns. Officers called the Defendant on the cell phone and asked him to exit the apartment.
