On January 20, 2026, at approximately 6:44 PM, officers of the Rochester Police Department responded to a residence in SE Rochester on a report of an assault. The initial complainant was Elliott Christian Volk (9/7/2005), Defendant herein. Once on scene, Ofc. Holty went into the residence and spoke with Victim- a juvenile female fully identified in police reports. Victim reported that she was babysitting for her friend, the mother of Defendant's children. Defendant and the mother had been in an argument and Defendant had apparently left her at target.
Defendant returned to the residence and began ringing the doorbell repeatedly. Once inside Victim and Defendant began arguing about the children's diapers. Defendant threw diapers at Victim's face. Victim became upset and admitted to throwing water on Defendant. Victim said the first attempt did not land as intended, so she threw more water on him. After this, Defendant pulled out a red pocket knife and began chasing her around the house. Victim ran into the kitchen, but fell. Defendant then Defendant stood over her with the knife and made several jabbing motions towards her.
Defendant also threw a plate at her which shattered on the floor. Victim felt stunned and in disbelief. She also thought Defendant might stab her. Ofc. Holty found a discarded plastic water bottle near the entryway of the residence. Victim admitted this was the bottle used to throw water on Defendant, but denied the water was hot. Ofc. Beck spoke with Defendant. Defendant acknowledged an argument with Victim. Defendant said that Victim poured water on him, which he said was very hot. Defendant then pulled a knife on Victim, in supposed self-defense.
Defendant and Victim then continued walking around the house arguing. Defendant declined to be evaluated by ambulance. Ofc. Feddersen spoke to Witness- a male fully identified in police reports. Witness was in another room of the apartment and heard Victim throw water on Defendant, which made him mad. Witness exited the room at this point and saw Defendant carrying a fixed-blade knife which had a red handle. Ofc. Feddersen found a red-handled Milwaukee brand folding knife in Defendant's vehicle. Ofc.
Feddersen also observed a broken plate that Victim claimed Defendant threw at her during the altercation. Defendant was convicted of DANCO Violation in ••-CR-••-•••• and ••-CR-••-••••.
