Jose Antonio MARAVILLA ([DOB REDACTED]), has the following prior driving impaired driving convictions within the past ten years. ••-CR-••-••••, Traffic DWI, misdemeanor, conviction 5/12/2021 62-SU-CR-21-457, Traffic DWI, gross misdemeanor, conviction 6/21/2021 19-WS-CR-21-392, Traffic DWI, misdemeanor, 7/26/2021 19-WS-CR-21-744-Traffic, DL-Driving after Cancellation-IPS, conviction 7/26/2021 19-WS-CR-21-1333, Traffic DWI, misdemeanor, conviction 7/26/2021 ••-CR-••-••••, Traffic DWI, misdemeanor, conviction 8/10/2021 ••-CR-••-••••-Traffic DWI, gross misdemeanor, conviction 8/13/2021 On 11/1/2025 at about 2043 hours, Maplewood Police were dispatched to [ADDRESS REDACTED] N (Livinn Suites) in Maplewood, Ramey County for a medical assist call.
Dispatch notes stated that there was a slumper in a white sedan parked in front of the business’ front door. Upon arrival, police found a white 2016 Nissan Altima (MN/? SEP006) parked in the center parking aisle with its hazard lights on. The vehicle was running with its lights on. The driver, later identified MARAVILLA, was asleep in the driver’s seat and there was an open bottle of Cayman Jack in the cup holder of the center console. Police knocked on the window. MARAVILLA woke up, reached for a piece of gum, and said he was waiting for his girlfriend who went inside about 30 minutes earlier to check them in.
He said he parked in the center aisle because there were no parking spaces. The officer noted that MARAVILLA was parked blocking an open parking space. MARAVILLA’s eyes were bloodshot, watery and droopy. His speech was slow and slurred, and the officer detected a faint odor of alcoholic beverage coming from inside the vehicle. MARAVILLA exited the vehicle and said he was at the Livinn Suites to celebrate his birthday today. He said he had "maybe a shot" of alcohol. The officer noted a faint odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from MARAVILLA's mouth.
The officer started Standard Field Sobriety Tests. MARAVILLA had a lack of smooth pursuit in both eyes, sustained and distinct nystagmus at maximum deviation in both eyes, and sustained and distinct nystagmus prior to forty-five degrees in both eyes. At the conclusion of that test, it was discovered that MARAVILLA’s Driver’s License was Canceled IPS. MARAVILLA was arrested. With MARAVILLA’s consent, the officer administered a PBT, which provided a sample of.099 AC. While being transported to the Maplewood Police Department, MARAVILLA was nodding off in the backseat.
Suspecting MARAVILLA was under the influence of mixed intoxicating substances, pursuant to a search warrant, police obtained a sample of MARAVILLA’s blood, which was subsequently submitted to the BCA for analysis. On 11/24/2025, police received a BCA lab report for the blood toxicology which revealed an ethyl alcohol concentration of 0.091 +/- 0.005 grams per 100 mL of blood. MARAVILLA is currently incarcerated at the MCF-Lino Lakes and a warrant, therefore, is requested.
