On April 7, 2026, at 1:13 P.M., Oakdale police responded to a residence for a report of a domestic violence situation that had occurred at the residence in the city of Oakdale, Washington County, Minnesota. Victim, a known adult, answered the door. Victim was having difficulty moving and walking and was holding onto her lower back. Victim had marks and scratches on the side of her neck and was also speaking in a raspy voice. Victim said that her voice does not normally sound like this. Victim said that she had a cut on her lip, an abrasion on her knee and there appeared to be blood on the rear patio door.
Victim was initially evaluated by paramedics. Victim then said she would take herself to the hospital for further evaluation. Victim said Hercules Demetrius Johnson, (D. O. B. 3-16-1988), Defendant herein, is her boyfriend and the father of one of her children. Victim said she lives in the residence with her four children and Defendant spends approximately 1 to 2 nights a week at the residence. Victim said that she woke from a nap in her upstairs bedroom about 11:00 A.M. And saw Defendant standing over her with her cellphone in his hand.
Defendant said he went through her phone and noticed she texted another man. Defendant began yelling at Victim and told her that he was done with their relationship. Victim said she went downstairs but the verbal argument continued. Victim said she tried to get her phone back from Defendant. Defendant set the phone on a kitchen counter and she tried to grab it. Defendant grabbed the phone and placed it inside his pocket. Defendant then pushed Victim into a closet door next to the kitchen, causing a bend in the door and forcing it off its tracks.
Victim stood back up and Defendant and her began pushing each other. Defendant pushed Victim into the closet, and she fell on top of a pile of shoes on her back. Defendant got on top of Victim and straddled her. Defendant then began strangling her with one hand on her neck. Victim said that she could not breathe and her vision was blurry. Victim said she could hear her children upstairs and coming downstairs. Defendant then got off Victim, and she got onto her feet and walked into the dining room.
Victim said she began throwing cups and glass pickle jars at Defendant telling him to leave the house. Defendant threw the items back at Victim. Victim said she was screaming at her phone to call her mother and the police. Defendant then left the residence via the rear patio door. Victim said it took her a few hours to contact the police because she didn't have a phone. Photographs of Victim's injuries were taken. The state respectfully requests a warrant as law enforcement has been unable to locate Defendant.
