On October 30, 2025, Detectives with the Washington County Drug Task Force were conducting an operation in Saint Paul related to an ongoing investigation of possession and sale of methamphetamine by BETH MARIE MILBRANDT, [DOB REDACTED]. Detective Stringer received information form a confidential informant that MILBRANDT was in possession of a large quantity of methamphetamine at her residence at [ADDRESS REDACTED], [APT REDACTED], Saint Paul, County of Ramsey. Detectives conducted physical surveillance at MILBRANDT’s residence and known vehicle-a Ram 1500 pickup (truck). The truck was parked in the parking lot of the apartment building.
Sgt. Howard observed MILBRANDT carry a bag to her vehicle. Detectives obtained a search warrant to search MILBRANDT’s residence on White Bear Avenue and her truck for methamphetamine and drug related items. While awaiting receipt of the search warrant, Sgt. Howard observed MILBRANDT meet with a female-later identified as SM-outside the apartment. MILBRANDT left the residence in the truck and SM left in a separate vehicle. Detectives followed the truck and conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Maryland and Cypress Avenue, Saint Paul, County of Ramsey.
MILBRANDT was the only occupant of the truck. MILBRANDT was removed from the truck, but resisted being handcuffed. Eventually, detectives handcuffed her. While MILBRANDT was searched, she yelled, “F*** it,” and began to run away while in handcuffs. An officer caught MILBRANDT. The truck was searched. Detectives located a large quantity of methamphetamine in the front passenger seat of the vehicle. A large white/blue reusable bag with several large plastic bags of suspected methamphetamine was found.
A black backpack with suspected methamphetamine was found. A large tan/brown handbag that contained large chunks of suspected methamphetamine was also found. A prescription bottle with the name Beth Milbrandt was found in the center console of the truck. A similar bottle was found behind the driver’s seat of the truck. An insurance card and bank paperwork with the name Beth Milbrandt were found in the glove box. During the traffic stop, detectives obtained a key to MILBRANDT’s apartment. The apartment was searched.
No evidentiary items were found during the search of the apartment. MILBRANDT declined an interview with an investigator and said she wanted an attorney. The suspected methamphetamine was presumptively tested. Each bag tested positive for the presence of methamphetamine. The unpackaged bags of methamphetamine were 1, 341.3 grams; 1, 340.9 grams; 1, 441.2 grams; 194.9 grams; and 53.7 grams. The total unpackaged weight of methamphetamine is 4, 372 grams (9.64 pounds). Detectives processed the truck in preparation of a forfeiture.
