At around 1:20 AM on August 17, 2025, officers responded to [ADDRESS REDACTED] on a domestic. Officers made contact with KENNETH TOY SPIGHT [DOB REDACTED] and his girlfriend, KH. Spight wore a black zip-up sweatshirt with white writing across the chest over a yellow shirt. At around 3:15 AM on August 17, 2025, CL [DOB REDACTED] was at Speedway at [ADDRESS REDACTED] East, St. Paul, Ramsey County. CL was putting gas in his Toyota Corolla when a blue sedan parked on the other side of the pumps. A man got out of the blue sedan and asked CL for a light.
CL declined. Another man approached CL from behind. CL turned around and saw the second man pointing a handgun at CL’s stomach. A third male got out and started grabbing CL’s belongings from CL’s pockets. The third male punched CL’s face twice. The trio took CL’s phone and wallet and left in the blue sedan. CL’s wallet contained a US Bank credit card and a Blaze Credit Union debit card. CL had a fat lip and blood on his shirt from the incident. Officers found fresh blood on the ground near a pump at the gas station and what appeared to be CL’s receipt.
Surveillance video showed CL pulled into the lot a few minutes before a blue Ford Fusion pulled up. Spight got out of the blue Fusion’s rear passenger seat wearing the same sweatshirt he wore two hours earlier. DYLAN CHARLES JUNGWIRTH [DOB REDACTED] got out of the blue sedan’s driver’s seat. A man believed to be KEMONIE TERRY HURD [DOB REDACTED] got out of the front passenger seat. All three men assaulted CL. Hurd walked around CL’s vehicle and entered the driver’s door. The trio returned to the blue Ford Fusion and left the parking lot.
Surveillance video showed that CL’s Blaze Credit Union debit card was used at a Cub Foods and at Speedway. At 6:20 AM on August 17, 2025, a red Ford Expedition pulled into the Cub Foods parking lot at [ADDRESS REDACTED] B West, Maplewood, Ramsey County. Spight and KH got out of the Expedition and entered the store. Spight wore the same clothing he wore during the earlier domestic call for service. Jungwirth later got out of the Expedition and entered the store. At around 6:30 AM, Spight used CL’s stolen debit card at a register.
Spight, KH, and Jungwirth later went to a Coinstar machine inside the store. At around 6:38 AM on August 17, 2025, the red Ford Expedition pulled into Speedway at [ADDRESS REDACTED], Roseville, Ramsey County. The gas station is a three-minute drive from the Cub Foods. Spight got out of the Expedition and entered the store. Spight used CL’s credit card to make purchases inside the store. At 6:48 AM, Spight returned to the red Ford Explorer, and it drove away from the gas station. At 6:51 AM, Jungwirth appeared from the direction the Ford Explorer drove off.
Jungwirth entered the Speedway Spight had just left and robbed it at gunpoint. Hurd’s cell phone was at Speedway at the time CL was robbed. Jungwirth committed these robberies while pending sentencing on a felony fleeing police in a motor vehicle.
