Count 1Fleeing a Peace Officer in a Motor VehicleTraffic
Probable Cause
Based on reports from an incident occurring on March 20, 2026, your complainant offers the following to establish probable cause: On March 20, 2026, at about 1:20 A.M., officers from the Forest Lake Police Department were alerted to a vehicle that had previously fled from a traffic stop in Columbia Heights. A Columbia Heights officer was following the vehicle, which was northbound on Interstate 35 near the I-35W and I-35E convergence in Washington County, Minnesota. Officer Carpenter located the vehicle on Interstate 35. As Officer Carpenter turned around to pursue the vehicle, the vehicle accelerated to over 100 miles per hour.
Officers pursued the vehicle with lights and sirens activated. The vehicle exited Interstate 35 onto U. S. Highway 8 and drove into Chisago County. Officers were eventually able to box the vehicle in and force it to stop. Officers approached the vehicle and identified the driver as JORDAN KEVIN HULL, [DOB REDACTED]. Hull was placed under arrest. In a subsequent Mirandized statement, Hull admitted to knowing that police were trying to stop him. Hull said he did not stop because he'd had previous bad experience with law enforcement and had "PTSD." Hull denied knowledge of a baggie of suspected methamphetamine found on the center counsel but said he and his passenger were looking for some methamphetamine.
Hull was taken into custody by a Columbia Heights police officer. Because of Hull's repeated flight from law enforcement, a warrant is requested to procure Hull's appearance in court.
