On March 27, 2026, at approximately 7:03 P.M., police responded to United Hospital, [ADDRESS REDACTED], St. Paul, Ramsey County, Minnesota, for an assault. Upon arrival, security notified police that the female suspect, AMINAH MALIKAH MCDONALD – [DOB REDACTED], was detained in a conference room. Police observed MCDONALD handcuffed in a wheelchair with a spit prevention device over her head. Police spoke with United Hospital security officer BVG, who said that according to Regions Hospital staff, MCDONALD was discharged from Regions on March 27 at 9:00 A.M. Regions noted that MCDONALD was spitting and kicking upon discharge.
BVG said he arrived at United Hospital at approximately 10:00 A.M. BVG reported that MCDONALD wanted to stay overnight and was placed in the Emergency Department mental health area. BVG said MCDONALD was discharged by nursing staff at 6:50 P.M. And given a bus token along with her discharge paperwork. BVG reported that MCDONALD became emotional and upset with security and staff, and MCDONALD made statements about wanting to fight staff and self-harm. BVG said MCDONALD threw one of her shoes at him, which struck him on the side of his head, then MCDONALD punched him in the chin with her right fist.
MCDONALD then tried to spit on security, so a spit prevention device was placed on her head. For purposes of enhancement, MCDONALD has the following qualified domestic violence related offense convictions within the past three years: Felony Fourth Degree Assault in Kanabec County District Court File No. 33-CR-24-341 on April 21, 2025. Felony Fourth Degree Assault in Kanabec County District Court File No. 33-CR-24-333 on April 21, 2025. Felony Fourth Degree Assault in Ramsey County District Court File No. 62-CR-23-1614 on June 14, 2024. In addition, MCDONALD has convictions for misdemeanor Fifth Degree Assault in Pine County District Court File No. 58-CR-24-873 on February 26, 2025, Ramsey County District Court File No. 62-CR-23- 1739 on March 25, 2024, and Anoka County District Court File No. 02-CR-19-3648 on October 17, 2019.
