Namanny grabbed his door from inside the vehicle and slammed the door shut. Namanny then yelled at Officer Goodwin to prove that he had a warrant. Officer Goodwin told Namanny that he would provide Namanny with a copy of the warrant when it was reasonable to do so, and now was not a reasonable time. Namanny then started to accuse Officer Goodwin of profiling him because he is Mexican. Namanny continued to be noncompliant and stated that he was going to honk his horn and create a disturbance. Namanny then demanded a supervisor, then once again, threatened to cause a disturbance.
At that point, Officer Klobe arrived to assist. Officer Klobe aired on the Northfield talk channel for the Northfield Sergeant to respond as Namanny was demanding a supervisor on scene. Namanny handed Officer Goodwin the keys to his truck and told Officer Goodwin, "to go get a warrant". Officer Goodwin asked Namanny, "If I show you proof of the warrant, what will happen after that?" Namanny responded with, "Then I get out of the 3 66-CR-26-302 Filed in District Court State of Minnesota 2/6/2026 vehicle and get arrested". Namanny then went on to tell Officer Goodwin how he has charges for assault on a Police Officer during Jesse James Days.
Namanny then called the Officers "white honkies". While Officer Klobe stayed with Namanny, Officer Goodwin returned to his squad car and took a photo of the warrant with his department issued cell phone to show Namanny. Officer Goodwin then approached Namanny again with a photo of the warrant. Namanny then stated, "I'm not going to get out when you show it to me". Once Officer Goodwin showed Namanny the warrant, he stated that Officer Goodwin was trying to pretend to show him the warrant and that the warrant was not real.
Namanny then asked what the warrant was for, and Officer Goodwin stated it was for 5th-degree assault and disorderly conduct. Even after Officer Goodwin showed Namanny the warrant, Namanny still demanded additional proof. At this point, Namanny was on the phone with his mother.
