Your complainant is employed by the Fridley Police Department. In that capacity, complainant has reviewed official police reports and has learned substantially the following: On November 4, 2025, at approximately 3:31 P.M., officers were dispatched to Georgetown Apartments, [ADDRESS REDACTED] N. E., Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, for a phone call report regarding a domestic assault. Officers made phone contact with S. L. J. Who said she was calling on behalf of her granddaughter, K. S. P. S. L. J. Stated K. S. P. Was assaulted on November 1, 2025. Both K. S. P. And S. L. J. Met with officers at the Fridley police department to give a statement.
K. S. P. Said she was picking up her boyfriend, later identified as Javen Maurice Hushan, [DOB REDACTED], the defendant herein, so he could meet with his friends at the apartments. K. S. P. Said that on November 2, 2025 at approximately 12:00 A.M. To 1:00 A.M., K. S. P. And defendant got into a verbal argument when defendant proceed to hit her in the head with a closed fist 8‐10 times. K. S. P. Said she drove away leaving defendant at the apartments. K. S. P. Said she had difficulties driving home and believed she had a concussion.
K. S. P. Reported she received a call from defendant that his phone was dying and he needed a ride home. K. S. P. Drove back to the apartments, picked defendant up, and drove him to his residence in Maple Grove. Once at the residence, defendant attempted to take her phone and purse. Defendant drug her out of the vehicle where she hit her head on the ground. K. S. P. Said she started screaming for help and defendant fled. Defendant said she felt sad and afraid. Officer observed bruising on the left side of her head around her ear.
A domestic violence lethality form was completed where Defendant was deemed high risk. A KOPS alert was issued but as of the date of the complaint, defendant has not been apprehended.
