On August 14, 2025, at approximately 6:53 A.M., Eden Prairie Police were dispatched to a welfare check at Holiday Gas Station, located at [ADDRESS REDACTED] in Eden Prairie, Hennepin County. The caller reported that a driver of a black Ford Fusion appeared out of it and intoxicated. Police responded and observed a male suspect in physical control of the black Ford Fusion (MN NZZ981), speaking with the reporting party. The driver was identified as NOLAN MARTIN STANO, [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein.
Police believed Defendant appeared to be in an elevated or manic state. Defendant stated he is prescribed several medications for anxiety but doesn’t currently take them and was unable to state where he currently was. Police had Defendant exit the vehicle to perform field sobriety testing. During the tests, police observed multiple clues of impairment. Defendant was unable to safely balance and was not following directions. The officer provided Defendant with a PBT which showed results of 0.00. The officer believed Defendant was under the influence of a controlled substance and placed him under arrest.
Defendant was searched incident to arrest and police located a clear bag containing a crystallized substance that later field tested positive for 4.73 grams of methamphetamine. In a post Miranda statement Defendant admitted to consuming GHB. The officer obtained a search warrant for Defendant's blood which was taken and sent to the BCA for testing. On September 27, 2025, results from the BCA lab toxicology report showed Defendant had amphetamine and methamphetamine in his system. At present, Defendant is not in custody.
Defendant has a conviction for a DWI in court file ••-CR-••-•••• from June 25, 2025.
