Antonio Robert Young

On April 6, 2026, at approximately 2:00 P.M., officers of the Minneapolis Police Department responded to reports of an assault in progress occurring at 29XX Thomas Ave. South, City of Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota. According to the caller, later identified as ANTONIO ROBERT YOUNG ([DOB redacted]), DEFENDANT herein, his vehicle was struck by VICTIM D. W. Upon striking DEFENDANT’s vehicle, VICTIM exited on foot to complete deliveries at which time DEFENDANT began chasing him. Fearing for his safety, VICTIM ran away and attempted to leap over a fence when he was grabbed and pulled to the ground by DEFENDANT and pulled VICTIM’s hood over his head.

DEFENDANT then struck VICTIM in the head causing substantial bodily harm. According to VICTIM, DEFENDANT also grabbed a brick and held it over VICTIM causing him to fear he would be struck by the object. Officers arrived on scene an observed DEFENDANT to be standing over VICTIM. Officers also observed VICTIM to have noticeable injuries consistent with being struck by either a fist or hard object to include significant swelling of the face and cheek, injuries to the hands, and blood on his face. The State may amend this complaint upon further investigation into the injuries suffered by victim.

DEFENDNAT is presently in custody.
