On or about August 6, 2025, Robbinsdale Police Officers were dispatched to a vehicle theft report at [ADDRESS REDACTED]. N., Robbinsdale, Hennepin County, Minnesota. Upon arrival, officers made contact with T. B. And H. K., hereinafter "Victim 1" and "Victim 2." Victim 1 stated that her silver 2008 Nissan Altima, bearing MN license RXA925, was stolen by JASON DESHAY WALLACE [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter "Defendant." Victim 1 additionally stated that she was no longer in possession of her keys and had not given anyone permission to drive the vehicle.
The motor vehicle had a value in excess of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00). Victim 2 stated that Defendant was her ex-boyfriend, he was prevented from having contact with her and was not allowed within a three-block radius of her residence due to pending criminal cases (27-CR-24- 20689 and ••-CR-••-••••), and he did not have consent to enter the residence. Victim 2 stated that she was awoken to Defendant entering her room and yelling at her. Victim 2 was fearful for her and her younger children's safety while Defendant was in the residence and yelling.
Victim 2 instructed Defendant to leave the residence. While Defendant was leaving, Defendant grabbed a set of keys and a cellphone. Defendant exited the residence, got into the driver seat of the Nissan Altima, and placed the car in reverse. Victim 2 opened the passenger door in an attempt to prevent defendant from driving away. As Defendant reversed the vehicle, the passenger door hit a trash can, which was still knocked over at the time of officer's arrival. Victim 2 stated that Defendant drove up Grimes Ave.
N. Pursuant to Minnesota Rule of Criminal Procedure 3.01, the State is requesting that this case issue as a warrant. Bail is necessary to protect public safety and to ensure Defendant’s reappearance in court.
