On April 5, 2026, at approximately 11:00 P.M., officers of the Brooklyn Center Police Department were dispatched to reports of an assault occurring at a group home located at [ADDRESS REDACTED]., N., City of Brooklyn Center, Hennepin County, Minnesota. Upon arrival, officers contacted reporting party, VICTIM [NAME REDACTED], an employee of the facility. According to VICTIM, a known resident, later identified as JAMELLE DOMINIQUE ALEXANDER [DOB REDACTED], DEFENDANT herein, demanded money from VICTIM. When VICTIM refused, DEFENDANT took VICTIM to the ground and began forcibly reaching into VICTIM’s pockets.
VICTIM attempted to use a personal cell phone to call 911 when DEFENDANT wrestled the phone from VICTIM’s grasp, hindering VICTIM’s ability to place the emergency call. DEFENDANT then fled the residence. Officers were able to locate DEFENDANT and recovered VICTIM’s phone from DEFENDANT’s possession. VICTIM further indicated that when DEFENDANT fled the residence, he intentionally caused damage to VICTIM’s vehicle by breaking the windshield. The state may amend this complaint as it relates to alleged damage to property.
DEFENDANT is presently in custody.
