On November 2, 2025, Minneapolis Police responded to a hotel located in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota on the report of a domestic assault that occurred hours before on November 1, 2025. Officers responded and spoke with a known adult female, Victim herein. Victim told officers that her boyfriend, EDUARDO ALEXANDER GUERRERO, DEFENDANT herein, assaulted her the previous night. Victim recounted that she and Defendant got into an argument because she was taking a video of him. Defendant snatched Victim's phone and threw it across the room, but the recording remained active.
Defendant then grabbed Victim [NAME REDACTED] in the torso multiple times. Victim went to grab her phone after this and the recording ended. Defendant then threw Victim [NAME REDACTED], got on top of her and strangled her by putting pressure on her neck with two hands. Victim [NAME REDACTED] was unable to breathe, began to see stars, and thought Defendant was going to kill her. Victim recounted gasping for air as Defendant shook her neck. Officers collected and reviewed the video recording that was captured.
The video is primarily audio with a dark screen. On the recording, Victim can be heard telling Defendant to stop, crying, and saying to him that he is going to kill her. The recording captures the sounds of Defendant striking Victim [NAME REDACTED] in between her pleas for him to stop. While officers were on scene, Defendant returned to the hotel room and was arrested. Defendant has a prior conviction for misdemeanor domestic assault from December 2018 (19WS-CR-18- 5978).
