Fridley police officers were dispatched to the Menards on Central Avenue NE in Fridley, Anoka County for a delayed theft report. Menards security reported that on February 18, 2026, a male and female entered the store. The male grabbed a battery charger valued at $99.95, concealed it in his jacket and left the store without paying for the merchandise. The same individuals returned on March 14, 2026, and the male concealed a battery charger valued at $99.95 without paying for it. The suspects arrived and left in a red Buick sedan.
A search of this vehicle showed it registered to Bethany Jean Draheim [DOB REDACTED], Defendant Draheim hereinafter. This vehicle was also recently involved in a traffic stop where the driver was Bryan Jamal Braddy [DOB REDACTED], Defendant Braddy hereinafter. Law enforcement compared the DVS photos of the defendants to the Menards security video, and they matched. On April 2, 2026, Fridley police responded to a theft at the Target located on 53rd Avenue NE in Fridley, Anoka County. Target asset protection reported that two suspects had taken $249.99 worth of merchandise before leaving the store without paying for it.
They left in the same red Buick from the Menards thefts. A traffic stop was conducted and the occupants were identified as the defendants. Law enforcement received additional reports that these defendants were suspects in multiple other thefts. On March 14, 2026, they were observed entering the Target in Coon Rapids and Defendant Braddy concealed a microphone valued at $149.99 before leaving the store without paying. On March 28, 2026, both defendants were observed at the Target in Andover where Defendant Braddy took a playstation valued at $199.99. On March 30, 2026, both defendants were at the Target in Savage and stole a camera valued at $194.99. On March 31, 2026, both defendants were at the Target in St. Louis Park when Defendant Braddy stole a fan valued at $149.99. Law enforcement discovered that many of these items were pawned by Braddy.
These thefts occurred over a three-month period totaling $1,144.85. Defendant Braddy was always the suspect to take the item, but Defendant Draheim was present at each theft, the pawning of the items, and her vehicle was used to get to the locations. At no time did either defendant have permission to take the merchandise without paying for it.
