On December 31, 2024, at 8:43 PM, law enforcement was dispatched to a residence located in Woodbury, Washington County, Minnesota, after receiving a domestic complaint. The complainant, [NAME REDACTED]T., told dispatch that her sister, H. A. T., had texted her stating that she had been involved in a physical domestic and was bleeding from the eye. H. A. T. Requested help from C. P. T. Upon arrival, a male identified as KEVIN RYAN MCCLUSKEY, [DOB REDACTED], "the defendant" herein, answered the door.
Law enforcement asked to speak with H. A. T. She was reluctant to come out to speak with officers. When she did, law enforcement immediately observed that her right eye was swollen, cut, and bruised. H. A. T. Explained that the defendant is her fiancé. They have lived together since 2018. H. A. T. Stated that an argument ensued that caused the defendant to throw a remote at the television. H. A. T. Slapped the defendant on the side of his face in response. The defendant then grabbed H. A. T's neck, pushed her onto the couch, and punched her in her face while holding his phone.
H. A. T. Stated that she struggled to breathe due to the pressure he applied to her neck and was close to losing consciousness. H. A. T. Attempted to tell him to stop, but could not. H. A. T. Reported that she feared for her life. H. A. T. Further reported that she texted her mom and sister a picture of her face and requested help. Law enforcement observed the photo. It showed two streaks of blood coming down H. A. T.'s nose and eye. Law enforcement also observed a hole in the television in the living room.
H. A. T. Reported that the damage was from the defendant throwing the remote. Law enforcement spoke with the defendant. He stated that H. A. T. Slapped him, but did not cause harm. The defendant pushed H. A. T. With his phone in his hand. The defendant postured that the phone could have caused H. A. T.'s injury. The defendant claimed that the argument was over after the push. Law enforcement did not observe any injuries on the defendant.
