On 01/03/2026 at about 0928 hours, St Anthony Police were dispatched to [ADDRESS REDACTED] for a welfare check on a female who had been sitting in a vehicle bearing MN license plate [PLATE REDACTED] for some time and appeared to be using drugs. Upon arrival, police found the 2015 Chevrolet Equinox (MN/JFV347) parked at a gas pump at [ADDRESS REDACTED] (BP Gas Station) in Falcon Heights, Ramsey County. Police could see that the female driver had a “straw” in her mouth, had a glass “bubble” pipe with a hose attached, and that there was folded, burned aluminum foil near the vehicle’s center console.
The driver falsely identified herself as Briana Marie Martinez and provided a false date of birth. However, when she was subsequently booked, using IBIS, she was positively identified as Allicia Noel GRONEWOLD ([DOB REDACTED]) and police learned she had numerous active out of state warrants. GRONEWOLD was very fidgety and told an officer that she was using “up” (common slang for methamphetamine). GRONEWOLD also said that the vehicle belonged to her boyfriend’s uncle, BR, and that she was just driving it, but didn’t know who the registered owner was.
When police determined that GRONEWOLD had provided a false name, they arrested her. During a search incident to arrest, in GRONEWOLD's coat, police found several plastic bags containing suspected narcotics. The contents of two of the bags later tested positive for methamphetamine with net weights of 2.34 grams and 1.24 grams. Visible in the vehicle was paperwork bearing the name AE; the vehicle’s registered owner. Police contacted AE and learned that the vehicle, which was now filled with junk, had been at a repair shop, Amar's Auto ([ADDRESS REDACTED] SE), for a couple months and that no one had permission to drive it.
Police then contacted the owner of Amar’s Auto who said he saw that the vehicle was gone from his shop about two days earlier and assumed the owner had picked it up. According to Carfax.com, the average value of a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox is $8,320. During a search of the vehicle, police found a small baggy containing a purplish powder in the center console. This substance later tested positive as an opioid, likely fentanyl, with a net weight of.20 grams. In a post-Miranda statement, GRONEWOLD said the vehicle belonged to her friend, BR, and that BR had the vehicle’s title and a bill of sale.
GRONEWOLD has prior drug-related convictions including Possession/Illegally Obtained Prescription (WI 2018CM001722) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (WI 2018CF000415). For purposes of Rule 6.02, in MN, GRONEWOLD has open cases for 5th Degree Drugs (••-CR-••-••••) and Receiving Stolen Property (M) (••-CR-••-••••). GRONEWOLD is currently being held at the LEC on unrelated matters. A warrant, therefore, is requested.
