Joel Alberto Castro-Meza

On November 12, 2025, Minneapolis Police were patrolling the area near Lagoon Ave and Hennepin Ave S, Minneapolis, Hennepin County. While parked in front of a local business, an employee of the business approached Police on foot and asked Police to trespass an individual. Police located and approached the individual, who was identified as JOEL ALBERTO CASTRO-MEZA (“Defendant”). Police learned that Defendant had an active warrant for his arrest. Police arrested Defendant. In a search incident to arrest, Police recovered 7.24 grams of fentanyl from Defendant’s person.
