Defendant waved the gun around and pointed it at her. Once in the bathroom defendant ordered SW. To remove her clothing. Defendant started to take off S. W.'s clothes because he said she was not moving fast enough for him. Defendant forced S. W. To get into the shower. Defendant made S. W. Stay in the shower for approximately 6-8 hours. Initially defendant turned the water on and it was the normal hot water. Defendant left the bathroom and turned the electricity and heat off inside the house. S. W. Reported being scared and could not see anything.
Defendant made S. W. Stand in the shower naked. She reported being freezing. While in the shower defendant slammed S. W.'s head against the wall multiple times. At one point 3 73-CR-26-964 Filed in District Court State of Minnesota 2/4/2026 defendant threw her down in the shower. S. W. Was laying in the shower. Defendant turned the water on and sprayed the water on S. W.'s face. S. W. Reported she could not breathe and she was choking on the water. S. W. Thought defendant was trying to drown her.
S. W. Stated she was trying to roll over so that the water would not hit her face. When she got up, defendant had a mini torch in his hand. Defendant tried to burn S. W. On her wrist and knee. S. W. Said she could feel a slight burning. S. W. Described defendant having her "execution style" in the shower. At one point while S. W. Was in the shower defendant fell asleep on a chair. S. W. Tried to go around him to get out. Defendant woke up and forced her back into the shower. At approximately 12:45 A.M. On January 27, 2026, defendant let her get out of the shower after S. W. Was answering questions he was asking her in an attempt to calm him down.
S. W. Told defendant she was hungry. Defendant did not allow S. W. To get food and demanded that she go into the bedroom. S. W. Tried to leave the residence multiple times. S. W. Did not know what time it was but said there was daylight. S. W. Stated she almost got out but he woke up. S. W. Tried to go outside to get a cigarette but defendant pulled her back into the house.
