On September 20, 2025, officers with the Plymouth Police Department spoke to a known person (“Victim”) on the phone. Victim told officers that his bike was stolen sometime between September 18, 2025, and September 20, 2025. The bike, prior to being stolen, was secured in an underground parking garage attached to an apartment that is located at [ADDRESS REDACTED] in Plymouth, Hennepin County, Minnesota. Victim provided officers with a description of the bike and stated it was worth $1800.00. On September 20, 2025, Victim went to look for his bike, but the bike was missing, and its lock was cut.
Victim further reported that the garage door to the underground parking garage had been broken and was unsecure. Officers spoke with a manager (“the Manager”) of the apartment. The Manager told officers that a female, later identified as Christina Marie Doty [DOB REDACTED] (“Defendant”), was seen on surveillance video walking in the underground garage. The date of the video is September 19, 2025. The video shows Defendant driving a truck into the underground garage. The video shows Defendant then driving out of the underground garage with the bike in the back of the truck.
The Manager also told officers that Defendant has previously burglarized the apartment (on two prior occasions), does not live there, and is not allowed in the building. Officers made contact with Defendant via phone. Defendant told officers that she had the stolen items at her home and that they could come and pick them up. Officers then went to Defendant’s home, and she answered the door. Defendant told officers that they could pick up the stolen items. Defendant told officers that she got the stolen items from the apartment complex by driving her vehicle into the underground garage and loading them into the vehicle.
Defendant admitted to using a Dremel tool to cut the locks.
