On or about 11/20/2025 at around 8:44 A.M., officers responded to a report of domestic assault at an address on Newton Ave N in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, MN. Victim [NAME REDACTED] had heard a knock on the door. When Victim [NAME REDACTED], her former romantic partner, Kadarius Garner, [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein, forced himself past her and into her apartment. Defendant then began to kick things in the apartment. Victim snuck out the back door. Defendant then followed her outside and began chasing Victim.
Defendant at one point began hitting Victim. Defendant kept saying something along the lines of, "I have something for you." Victim tried to take photos or videos of Defendant's actions, and Defendant took Victim's phone and threw it, smashing the phone screen. The phone appeared to be non-functional due to the damage. Defendant has the following prior convictions: Felony Violation of an Order for Protection on 9/23/23 in case 27-CR-23-20583 Felony Violating a no contact order on 12/20/23 in 27-CR-23-19337 Felony Violating a no contact order on 12/22/22 in 27-CR-22-21850 Felony Domestic Assault on 5/23/23 in 62-CR-22-3396 Felony Violating a no contact order on 1/13/23 in 62-CR-22-517 Felony Violating a no contact order on 11/25/19 in 27-CR-19-19976 Defendant was gone on arrival.
Defendant is currently in custody on another case. Due to Defendant's criminal history, his fleeing from the scene in this case, his lack of compliance with prior court orders, the risk to public safety, and the multiple convictions with the same Victim [NAME REDACTED], the State is respectfully asking for a warrant in this case.
