On January 28, 2026, at 11:30 A.M., officers with the Woodbury Police Department were searching the area of Woodbury Drive and Commerce Drive in Washington County for a vehicle bearing a stolen license plate. Earlier in the day, officers received a notification from the Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) stating that a white Dodge Durango had passed through the area heading westbound on Commerce Drive, bearing Minnesota license plate [PLATE REDACTED], which was listed as stolen from Burnsville.
Images of the vehicle also showed that it had a black plastic bag covering a rear, passenger side window. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the Dodge Durango. Officer Taschuk suspected that the vehicle may have driven to an auto glass shop and went to River City Auto Glass located at [ADDRESS REDACTED]. Officer Taschuk spoke to the owner, B. M., who stated that two males were in the back of the shop working on fixing the glass on a white Dodge Durango. Additional officers arrived on scene and entered the rear business area where they observed two males working on the Durango.
One male, later identified as ROBERT RONCHESTER FLEMING, [DOB REDACTED], was actively dismantling the door with the broken window while the second male was located at the rear of the vehicle. Officers detained and then arrested both males after dispatch ran the VIN on the Durango and confirmed it was also listed as stolen. During a post-Miranda statement, FLEMING admitted that he drove the Durango to the auto glass shop in Woodbury, and that the second male met him there. FLEMING claimed that he received the vehicle on the street in St. Paul from an unknown person.
FLEMING remains in custody at the Washington County Jail.
