Desiree Lynn Trobaugh-Shaffer

On 10/5/2025 Minneapolis Police officers were assigned to investigate an assault with a motor vehicle and shots fired on the 2000 block of 17th Avenue in Minneapolis, Hennepin County Minnesota. Officers spoke to several witness including DESIREE LYNN TROBAUH-SHAFFER. TROBAUH-SHAFFER stated that AMELIA LATASHA JOHNSON had driven a vehicle at her, striking her. As JOHNSON was driving away, TROBAUH-SHAFFER did take out a firearm and shoot at the vehicle several times. Video of the incident was recovered, and it showed a black SUV driving at a high rate of speed, deliberately turn and strike TROBAUH-SHAFFER. An additional witness and video from scene also supported the identification of the driver of the vehicle as JOHNSON. TROBAUH-SHAFFER stated that she knew it was JOHNSON driving because she saw her get out of the car and that JOHNSON has been calling TROBAUH-SHAFFER, harassing her, and broke her apartment door.
