On December 25, 2025, Father, a known adult, contacted the Woodbury Police Department regarding some firearms that were in his residence in the city of Woodbury, Washington County, Minnesota. Father reported that some of his younger children expressed some concerns about guns in the bedroom of Abbas Fahim, [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein. Father said he had removed the guns from Defendant's room for bit and then noticed that they had been removed from his room. Father then found the guns in Defendant's room and contacted police.
Police told Father than they typically do not remove guns from someone's home because of a request. Father then informed law enforcement that Defendant had received diversion from Ramsey County on a felony fleeing in a motor vehicle in 62- CR-25-3096 and was not permitted to possess firearms. Law enforcement went to the residence and were shown a gun bag on a dining table. When the bag was opened two handguns were located and an additional 24 count magazine, cleaning supplies as well as rifle rounds.
Both handguns had been commercially manufactured and are required by law to have serial numbers. Both guns had loaded magazines seated in them. One of the guns, had altered serials numbers in various locations. It was apparent that someone had scratched off the engraved numbers as they were no longer visible to the naked eyes. Defendant was then contacted by telephone about the guns. Defendant at first said he borrowed the guns for pictures. Defendant then said he was going he going to take a concealed carry class before he got into some trouble.
Defendant said he had returned the guns to his friend when his father told him he didn't want the guns in his house. Defendant then said his friend had given him back the guns because he no longer wanted them. Defendant then acknowledged the damage to one of the guns and the scratches on the "barrel thingy." Defendant said it was like that when he received it.
