On December 15, 2025, at approximately 1521 hours, Moorhead Police Officers responded to 1810 42nd Ave South in the City of Moorhead, County of Clay, State of Minnesota to assist Minnesota Department of Corrections Probation agents with a probation search. An occupant of the residence, Kennedy LeRoy Dolo, Jr. [DOB REDACTED](hereinafter "Defendant") is currently on supervised probation and is subject to various conditions. Two of those conditions are for the Defendant to submit to random searches and to not be in possession of firearms or dangerous weapons.
MN DOC Agent L. Ternes reported that the Defendant had recently made a post on social media showing a firearm. Upon arrival to the residence, officers met with Agent Ternes and the Defendant, who led Agent Ternes and officers to his bedroom. The Defendant was asked if there was anything in his bedroom that officers should be concerned about, to which the Defendant stated, no. During the search, officers located a partially completed "ghost gun" frame, with a completed upper receiver and a Glock-19 upper receiver kit.
The items were found in an inner pocket of a jacket in the Defendant's closet. A search of the Defendant's criminal history shows an extended juvenile jurisdiction adjudication on February 11, 2025 in Clay County, MN for theft of a firearm in ••-CR-••-••••. Theft of a firearm is a crime of violence in the State of Minnesota and the adjudication prohibits the Defendant from possession a firearm.
