On or about December 4, 2025 law enforcement were called to an apartment at [ADDRESS REDACTED] in Isle, county of Mille Lacs, state of Minnesota. The caller, Female-1, indicated that she had been locked out of her apartment by TYREL JAMES BECKER ([DOB REDACTED]). Law enforcement arrived at the location and found Female-1 on the roof of the apartment building. She indicated that BECKER had assaulted her and she had fled onto the roof to escape him. Once there, she said that BECKER had locked the window behind her.
Isle Fire Department was called to assist Female-1 off of the roof. While that was on-going, law enforcement cleared the residence and found that BECKER was not in the apartment. Law enforcement met with Female-1 when she was off the roof. Female-1 stated that her and TYREL BECKER were in a relationship and had been living together for the past four months. She indicated that the two of them got into an argument and BECKER began striking her. She described being punched with a fist in her face multiple times by BECKER. She stated that BECKER would not stop punching her so she fled out the window and onto the roof.
That was when he locked the window and must have left the apartment since his vehicle was no longer on scene. Female-1 stated that BECKER had also kneed her in the ribs. In speaking with Female-1, law enforcement observed her to have fresh bruising on her face and forehead. Her lip and nose had dried blood visible and she had several splotches of blood on her sweatshirt. Female-1 indicated that her ribs also hurt but she denied needing medical attention. Using a known phone number from Female-1, law enforcement made contact with BECKER who was located at a cabin at Appledorns.
Law enforcement went to his location and made contact with BECKER. They observed that BECKER appeared visibly intoxicated and he claimed to have had a few whiskeys since arriving at Appledorns. He had slight bleeding on the bridge of his nose and his hands both appeared to have bruising. BECKER stated that those injuries came from him slipping on the staircase leading into the apartment earlier. BECKER indicated that the argument had started because Female-1 would not let him into the apartment. He denied any physical fighting between the two of them and denied locking Female-1 out of the apartment.
