On November 22, 2025, at 0315 hours, Ramsey County deputies responded to [ADDRESS REDACTED], Little Canada, Ramsey County, on a 911 hang up. Officers heard yelling from a lower-level apartment. A female was making vague threats. TLJ, [DOB REDACTED], opened the door. Officers saw Ida Diane Brown, [DOB REDACTED], lying on the couch, unclothed from the waist up. Both Brown and TLJ appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. TLJ stated that he and Brown had been arguing for the past 90 minutes. He said that alcohol was causing Brown to be confrontational.
He separated from her and went to the bedroom. She walked into the bedroom with a kitchen knife and stabbed the bed several times. She said, “I’m going to kill you.” Deputies observed puncture marks on the bed. Deputies recovered two knives in the kitchen. Officers arrested Brown. In a post-Miranda interview, she said that she and TLJ had been dating for the past 9 months. They had both been drinking. He said that he would have sex with her sister. She confronted TLJ in the bedroom. She admitted to stabbing the bed with a kitchen knife.
She said that she should not remember if she made any threats.
