On December 12, 2025, around 4:47 P.M., law enforcement was dispatched to Famous Footwear located at [ADDRESS REDACTED] NE, Blaine, Anoka County, on a report of a theft at the business. The reporting party, M. N., told law enforcement that a male and female entered the store with four juvenile females who they remembered from prior theft incidents at the store. The male was identified as Anthony Michael Vernard Davis [DOB REDACTED], defendant herein. The female was identified as Antoinette Marie Hudson [DOB REDACTED]. Defendant was observed through surveillance footage concealing a pair of unboxed black shoes under his blue jacket.
Defendant then passed all points of sale, making no attempt to pay for the merchandise, and left the store with the female and the four juvenile females. Law enforcement met defendant at the exit of the business. While making contact with defendant, a black shoe fell from his jacket in front of law enforcement. Defendant was arrested. In a search incident to arrest, a large magnet was found in defendant’s left jacket pocket. M. N. Stated the tags that were defeated by the magnet tool were found in the business after this theft.
Total loss on this day from defendant is $74.99. Law enforcement used the magnet tool found on defendant in the business and it worked to defeat the security devices on the merchandise. Loss prevention told law enforcement defendant was involved at least three other thefts from November 20, 2025, November 21, 2025, and November 29, 2025. On November 20, 2025, around 6:24 P.M., law enforcement observed defendant in surveillance footage enter the business, select shoes from a shoebox, manipulating a large magnet, and removing a security tag that was on the shoes.
He then puts the box back on the shelf and conceals the shoes on his person before leaving the store. Total loss on this day is $114.99. On November 21, 2025, around 5:19 P.M., defendant is seen entering the store again, placing shoes from a shoebox on his feet, putting his old shoes in the shoebox, and leaving the store with the shoes on his feet. He also took another pair of shoes and concealed them in a large plastic bag before leaving the business without paying. Total loss on this day is $294.98. On November 29, 2025, around 5:57 P.M., defendant enters the store with three juvenile females and is seen selecting a pair of boots, concealing the boots on his person, and exiting the business without paying for the merchandise.
Total loss on this day is $179.99. The total value of the stolen merchandise by defendant between November 20, 2025, and December 12, 2025, is approximately $664.95. Defendant does not have a prior felony or gross misdemeanor conviction for a theft-related offense.
