On November 28, 2025, officers of the Blaine Police Department were on routine patrol when a vehicle made a righthand turn from the center lane at a high rate of speed. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle at White Pine Road and Oakwood Lane in Blaine, Anoka County. The driver was identified as JOSHUA JAY HENRY [DOB REDACTED], "Defendant" herein and the lone passenger identified as A. L. M. Defendant was showing a suspended driving status and exhibited physical signs of long-term narcotic use.
Officers inquired about narcotics use and Defendant admitted to having used methamphetamine two days prior. During the traffic stop, Lino Lakes Police Department received a call from J. E. M. Who resides in a home on White Pine Road that Defendant had driven past before being stopped. J. E. M. Indicated they found a zipped container containing narcotics at the end of their driveway. Officers ultimately learned there were 2 zippered bags, one brown and one black, which contained a white powdery substance and pills.
Officers asked Defendant about the bags, and he admitted the brown bag was his but did not admit that the black bag was his. Defendant and A. L. M. Were taken into custody. During transport to the Anoka County Jail, Defendant and A. L. M. Conversed between themselves about whether there were narcotics in the vehicle, and Defendant stated that there were no narcotics in the vehicle because he "grabbed his little one and her little one and chucked them out the window." Defendant also stated that the "bigger" one was at home.
Midwest Lab testing confirmed the substances were positive for.145 grams of fentanyl, cocaine, and medetomidine;.325 grams of fentanyl and xylazine;.728 grams of amphetamine; and.421 grams of methamphetamine. The State respectfully requests that a complaint warrant issue in this file. Defendant is currently on warrant status following a charge of Escape from Custody and is not expected to respond to a summons.
