On 3/4/26 at 0214 hours, St. Paul Police responded to a call at [ADDRESS REDACTED] in St. Paul, Ramsey County. The caller said an unknown male had come into the caller’s home. Police arrived on scene and found two vehicles parked in the garage driveway; one was a black Ford F150 (MN/LLX269). Each was occupied by a male driver. Police spoke to the driver of the F150; later identified as Michael Charles FOX [DOB REDACTED]. FOX, who refused to identify himself, said he was there to see a female, HLM, who lived in the upper unit at the address.
Officers had FOX call HLM to confirm his story. HLM came outside and told police she did not want either of the males there. Police again asked FOX to identify himself. Instead, he started the truck, put it in reverse, and started backing up. An officer yelled through FOX’s open passenger window, shined a flashlight at him, and two officers told FOX to stop. FOX, however, drove in reverse down the alley at a high rate of speed with no headlights. He struck several garbage cans as he fled. Police lost sight of the truck as FOX fled north on Mendota Ave.
HLM identified the driver of the truck as FOX; also known as “AJ.” Using photos from MYBCA, police confirmed FOX’s identity. FOX had an active warrant and his driver’s license was cancelled IPS. Police found the F150 in an alley behind [ADDRESS REDACTED]. It was unoccupied, the engine was running, and there were garbage cans stuck under it. While searching the vehicle, police found two cell phones. Each had the initials "AJ" on them. It was later determined that FOX and the driver of the other vehicle were unrelated to the initial 911 call.
FOX has at least one active warrant. For purposes of Rule 6.
