On December 9, 2025, Rochester Police Department officers responded to a past action burglary that occurred around 2:30 A.M. At a dealership located in northwest Rochester, Olmsted County, Minnesota. Officer Hook spoke with employees of the dealership. One of the employees told Officer Hook that he arrived to work at approximately 3:30 am and was directed to a broken safe in the shop. The safe had been forcibly removed and was found broken open in the shop. Officers reviewed surveillance video and observed a male entering the dealership and stealing money from a safe after destroying the safe.
The male was seen rummaging through the parts department, the sales office, and the cashier’s office. Officers recognized the male from a previous call for service. Officers located the male and identified him as Jay Francis Clark lll [DOB REDACTED]. Officers read Clark his rights and he agreed to answer questions. Clark admitted to entering the dealership and rummaging through the store. He stated he took whatever cash and gift cards he would find.
