On August 21, 2025, at 6:00 P.M., Carver County Deputy Voight was dispatched to the Holiday gas station located at 10700 10th Street in the City of Waconia, County of Carver, regarding a disturbance. Upon arrival, the deputy spoke with an adult male, Tyler Warwick. Mr. Warwick stated that he had been driving a truck belonging to Warwick Plumbing and Heating (Minnesota registration YCG 5814). The deputy noted this truck was parked in front of a pedestrian crosswalk in the Holiday parking lot. Mr. Warwick stated a male had tried to go over the curb, but the skateboarder got stuck and apparently scratched his skateboard.
Mr. Warwick stated the skateboarder got upset about this and hit the back door of his truck with his skateboard. Mr. Warwick stated he brought this skateboarder “to the ground to prevent him from leaving”. Mr. Warwick then stated another male came over and broke the two of them up. The skateboarder went into the store, left his phone number and giving his name as “Temothy Thomas.” Deputy Voight next contacted Mr. Thomas who agreed he had skateboarded to the gas station. Mr. Thomas said that when he saw the truck was blocking the pedestrian path, he tried to go over the curb but scratched his skateboard in the process.
Mr. Thomas admitted he was frustrated, and so he used his skateboard to hit the rear door of the truck. Mr. Thomas also stated was choked from behind and taken to the ground by Mr. Warwick until another male broke the two apart. Deputy Voight noticed that Mr. Thomas had scrapes to his right elbow and forearm (Mr. Warwick is charged with Assault in the Fifth Degree in ••-CR-••-•••• as a result of this incident). Deputy Voight also obtained surveillance video from Holiday. However, the store surveillance did not capture the incident.
Warwick Plumbing and Hearing subsequently tendered an estimate of $1200.00 to repair the rear door of the 2021 Chevrolet work truck. Charge: Felony Damage to Property. 609.595, Subd. 1 (4) (reduces value of property by $1000.00 or more). Five years or $10,000. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: Pursuant to Minn. Stat. 609.49., intentional failure to appear for duly scheduled court appearances may result in additional criminal charges, and in addition to any arrest warrant that may otherwise be issued by the Court.
