On March 2, 2026, at approximately 2:03 am, Wright County Deputy Blackford was dispatched to a commercial business in Otsego, Wright County, Minnesota regarding an alarm. An individual with Noonlight security reported having a visual of individuals on the west side patio of the building. Deputy Blackford arrived on scene and located two individuals on the west side of the building hiding in bushes. The two males were identified as Ivan Olivaros Lizcano [DOB REDACTED] hereinafter Defendant Lizcano and Daniel Solis Baranda [DOB REDACTED] hereinafter Defendant Solis Baranda.
Defendant Solis Baranda informed Deputy Blackford that they were out riding their bikes for hours and got lost. Defendant Solis Baranda stated they rode their bikes from Minneapolis. Deputy Blackford observed Defendant Lizcano to have slow, lethargic movements, glossy eyes, sunken cheeks and dark bags under his eyes. Deputy Blackford also observed Defendant Lizcano to have very dirty hands appearing to be covered in grease and dirt. Defendant Solis Baranda was also observed to have sunken cheeks, glossy eyes, and dark bags under his eyes along with very dirty hands covered in grease and dirt.
Deputy Blackford ran Defendant Lizcano’s information through NCIC and observed Defendant Lizcano to have an active warrant out of Hennepin County, and the warrant was confirmed by dispatch. A search of Defendant Lizcano’s person located possession of a black Adidas backpack which contained pliers, wrenches, 3 doorstop wedges, drill bits, drill bit kits, 2 hangers, hair clip, a full face mask, toot straws, a coach purse, a tan pouch containing sunglasses, women’s earrings, an insurance card belonging to SZ, and other miscellaneous items.
Deputies searched the area where the defendants were located and located a women’s wallet belonging to AP, along with other miscellaneous items. A search of Defendant Solis Baranda located a blue toot straw with residue, a clear container with black tar/wax like substance that Trunarc tested and came back as inconclusive, and brass knuckles. Deputies searched Defendant Solis Baranda’s bag and located wrenches, a screw drivers, magnets, a camera, an iPhone, and jewelry. Deputies followed up with AP, and SZ whose items were located on defendants.
AP indicated her vehicle was stolen from her residence and indicated the Coach purse, wallet and driver’s license, were all hers. SZ indicated his vehicle was stolen on 2/28/26 and confirmed his insurance card was inside the vehicle.
